Live Remote Proctoring is a safe and non-intrusive platform that uses professional proctors and technology to keep an eye on people as they take their certification exams. People can take the certification exam from their home, office, or a different place using their own computer when they use this method of delivery of the test. The process is safe, easy to use, and monitors and records everything that happens during an exam session. Those who want to use live remote proctoring will need to run a system and webcam test on the computer they plan to use to make sure it will meet the needs of the service. If they meet the requirements, they can go ahead and set up Live Remote Proctoring for the next step.

However, this initiative has been launched on a temporary basis due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Enrolling for an online exam: . Click here to access the NISM certification portal and then select 'Enrollment' followed by 'Enroll for Examination.' . Make a choice from the drop-down menu. Remotely proctored exams are available for six NISM courses right now. . Check to see if there are any empty seats, then choose the city as Online and the examination center as 'Exam from anywhere'. . Complete the payment and finalize the time window. . The system will make an exam admit card that you can download. It will include information about the exam. You will get an email from us 24 hours before the chosen date and time with the link to the test and the instructions. Test

You will be watched by someone who is an invigilator. The invigilator may ask you to move your laptop or desktop if he sees something that isn't right. Remember that the invigilator can stop your exam at any time. . Make sure that your webcam and microphone work together smoothly. Guideline

 Both download and upload speed on the Internet should be at least 512 kbps. . Microsoft Windows operating system version 7 and above are compatible with this app. . It doesn't work with iOS or Apple Macbook Pros. . Make sure your computer or laptop has a safe web browser so that you can take the tests . There is a free space of 65 MB on the hard drive that comes with your computer (typically C drive) Consider the following:

 Before the exam begins, check your devices and network connection. . Ascertain that your laptop is fully charged. . Conduct a compatibility check prior to beginning the test. . Ascertain that you are seated in a well-lit room with an uncluttered background and adequate illumination on your face. . Keep your government-issued identification close at hand. . Don't copy and paste. . Keep the chat window open. . Make sure you're in a room where there isn't a lot of noise. . If you try to search the internet or browse, your screen will be watched. . Don't use your cell phone, earphone, calculator, or any other device while you're taking the exam because the system can tell when something isn't right. . Exams can't be paused for breaks.

Certification and result

After your exam, your scorecard would show right away. But, to be able to take the exam, you need at least 60% or more. However, the certification would be sent out in 15 days. If it takes a long time, you can call the NISM helpline. NISM certifications are only valid for three years at a time.
